MEET THE TEAM

Group Fitness Instructor & Personal Trainer

I am a qualified New Zealand Institute of Health and Fitness Registered Fitness Consultant and Personal Trainer, and hold a Bachelor of  Business degree; I am also a mum and wife. I understand the relentless daily demands and juggle that all women face, and how hard it is to find time to invest in yourself; but I also know how rewarding doing so is.

Helping others achieve their goals is my passion. Seeing the changes in my clients is what drives me.

I work alongside my clients no matter their current situation or fitness level, to lose body fat and tone. I am there with them each step of the way to help them keep on track and reach their goals.

It is my pledge to my clients that it won’t be long before their family and friends will be complimenting them on how amazing they look!

I have been training with the Peak for Life fitness community since 2015 and have gained a great deal from the extremely motivated team of trainers. I am excited to join the team of trainers in 2018!

 

I am currently studying a Commerce degree at Auckland University , I attained a National Certificate in Group Fitness Instruction with the support of Peak for Life and currently furthering my studies with a Personal Training certificate.  I have always been involved in sport, fitness and training at a premier level.  I am passionate about sport and keeping active and look forward to inspiring others to achieve their goals.  

 

I hope to use my experience of team-based training to integrate teamwork with fitness and exercise.  I enjoy pushing myself to new limits and hope to also drive others in challenging themselves.

Peak for Life was the first gym I ever joined, and it was the catalyst to my passion for fitness. I am no marathon runner or athlete swimmer, but I am motivated to work hard and support everyone on their own fitness journey’s. I am so excited to join the Peak for Life Community in 2019 and work with the team of amazing trainers. 

 

Peak for Life has encouraged me to study a National Certificate in Group Fitness while I complete my Communications and Business conjoint at AUT.   

I am all about making fitness fun and enjoyable while challenging yourself to achieve your goals. With my 14 years of dance, 5 years of touch rugby and my continuing love for netball, I hope to encourage teamwork throughout each workout. Helping people to achieve their goals is ultimately my goal.

Pilates Instructor

 

I am a certified Pilates instructor with a degree in Sports Science and a post-graduate degree in Biokinetics (exercise prescription and rehabilitation of injuries). After working in various health and wellness settings I followed my passion to focus on teaching Pilates, which I have done for the past 10 years. I ran my own Pilates studio in Cape Town, South Africa and recently moved to Auckland with my husband and 2 children. I am passionate about teaching Pilates and really seek to get each client to connect to their core correctly for maximum benefit. I believe in a balanced and healthy lifestyle and that positive change can happen one step at a time.

Health Therapist (Massage)

Nutritional Therapist 

As a Personal Trainer I specialise  in rehabilitation and restorative movement but love all types of exercise and group fitness. I am also a Health Therapist in Myofascial Massage, Kinesiology, Visceral and Scar Tissue Release Therapies; and a Nutritional Therapy with a focus on Eating Disorders. 

 

As a therapist I see my purpose as to helping each person support the body with simple and sustainable health truths , identifying unhelpful conditions and accepting the balance of choosing good health every day. When these foundations are there, we work together to best support your goals whether it be healthy living, weight management, stress and pain reduction, or event/athletic performance. 

 

The things I love most in my life are my husband and 4 children, running, cheese, old music and the beach.  My favourite sayings are “little by little a little becomes a lot” and “the truth sets you free”.
